Quiet (not quite) Sundays, music, ICT project (BORING!) customs, guest-ey visitor types, Powder toys, moneys and other things…

Good Evening.

Today is very quiet. Even if I did say ‘quite’ when I put that on facebook… either way, the only things I can hear at the moment are the music I’m listening to, (Billy Joel – Piano Man right now) Toby’s voice from Bens laptop, and occasionally voices drifting from elsewhere in the house, some people appeared to steal stuff legitimately. And non-theft-ley… I should really use real words…

Anyway, I’ve been attempting to do ICT project, which is going well; especially considering I don’t know how to use visual basic, and barely know any expressions for Access. Playing with the punctuation there to get rid of that little green line. Great, there’s another one…

Gaah! I really hate grammar.

Lynyrd Skynyrd – Free Bird. Good.

As I’ve said before, this is a really weird playlist, got weirder since then. I now have Finnish battle metal, and Icelandic stuff, among other things… might remove the first 5 tracks, I usually skip them anyway… they don’t make much sense without the appropriate videos…

So, due to the presence of guests, I’m lurking in my room, upstairs. Although, I was doing that anyway… but I’m not going on my usual foraging trips every 20 minutes… they’re really quite pointless, I never find anything worth eating. Well, I do, but then I eat it and there’s nothing again… hehe, that sounds awfully childish, and I assure you, it is.

So, I’ve been passing the time when I’m supposed to be ‘working’ by playing with The Powder Toy. Apparently Nuclear Fission of Plutonium melts ice. Weird.

Today is impossible boring. It’s 14:32. I woke up at 10:00 but I feel like I’ve been drifting around for about 8 hours… perhaps I have, do I sleepwalk? Probably not, if I did I’d probably break my neck getting out of bed.

Still Free Bird, this is a very long song…05:53 of 09:04… (mm:ss). That could take a while…

What have I got to do? Biology questions! Do I have to do them? Wilson handed them out and told us to return them next Monday (tomorrow) but never said to do them… I’m not sure…

Ooh! Forgot to tell you this yesterday. As you may remember I ordered some t-shirts from America about 3 weeks ago. They’re currently sitting in the post office because I have to pay some customs surcharge or something, which I can’t get Spreadshirt to pay for or anything because they have a little disclaimer somewhere… sneaky buggers… so that’s going to cost me about twice as much as the delivery did. Yay? Slightly annoying. Especially considering I don’t have enough money for it.

Turisas, Five Hundred and One. Here because I like the into.

So, I’m going to try and convince mother to give me money for that… that’ll be fun. I also have to pay for Biology and chemistry exam retakes… thrilling…

Well, the visitors appear to have departed… that’s fun, is it? Probably not…

Anyway, on that note I shall leave you, back to battling Microsoft access. Thanks for reading, Ta-ta.

Hmm, I’ve been trying not to add too much music to it… I want to put music I like there, (there are some from that lot I don’t like) but then I end up adding 3 hours of Simon & Garfunkel, 2 hours of The Arrogant Worms, lots of Queen and Iron Maiden etc. so most of my varies playlist end up about 80 hours long… difficult to listen to the whole lot in one go… rarely have that much time free…

No Turisas in there… I’ll do something about that…

Did anything interesting happen today? Williams refused to accept my homework, because I only had it on a memory stick, and she thinks I’d try to infect her computer with a virus type thing…

I feel like watching the Lord of the Rings Films again… does Emski still have them? probably… has she watched them? Probably not… if any of the packaging is damaged next time I see it, (more than before, that was mostly there when it arrive) I will kill Luke. (I couldn’t kill Emski, well, I could, but it would be mean…

I might do that… (not related to the previous paragraph, I was thinking about my ICT coursework-ey project-ey thing…

Post 200!

Posted in ICT, KEVII, Milestones., Music, Project, tedium, thoughts, Turisas on 13/02/2011 by willsalt

Good Evening.

I’ve reached a somewhat irrelevant milestone! 200 posts. yay! who cares?

As I said, I’m currently doing ICT work, although the layout on my screen is a bit odd…

On the left 60ish% of the screen, you should see my ICT work, and the properties box on the bottom right, behind that you can see the Microsoft word window I’m writing this in, currently occupied by my last one… And on the top right is Turisas performing at Download in 2007. Weird…

Don’t know how that picture will come out…

For some reason that music helps me concentrate, a bit weird, isn’t it?

So, ICT work, that’s annoying me. Can’t remember how to do some of the relatively necessary things, like get forms to disappear and reappear… something about make vidible true/false… but yeah, I’ll sort that out some other time… lots of queries and combo boxes to make for now. That’ll keep me occupied for a good few hours.

Thanks for reading. Ta-ta.

forms of darkness

Good Evening!

And how are you today?

Pick one of the following, as appropriate.

  • Very good.
  • There there.
  • Okay.
  • I don’t give a shit
  • I’m sorry for your loss
  • Other

Moo

So, I’m listening to Turisas again. I doubt that surprises you.

I’ve been reading IT, made more progress in the last 24 hours, then the combined 4 weeks before that. Awesomz, with a ‘z’! Great book. I know a few people who wouldn’t like the writing style, it jumps between multiple times, and multiple people. I like it. One of the things that made me like the ‘Megamorphs’ books, in the Animorphs series so much.

I wish they’d been more serious… I find them painful to read now… to childish, even for me 😛

I say that because at present I’m trying to convince an American that the Japanese keep an army of Mecha hidden. Great fun!

I’m a bit bored at the moment, trying to decide whether to continue reading, or go insult some Americans on Sodahead… (Well, disagree with them, it has the same effect.)

I finally got round to getting the exam re sit form for chemistry… that was fun, and painful… mostly because I carved it into my arm… wanted them to print it on black paper, they didn’t.

As you may know I recently purchased some stuff from Spreadshirt. I’ve had notice of dispatch… but I’ve also had the money become available again… so I’m hoping they don’t take it back, I need a new memory stick 😛

So I’ll wait a few days, and see what happens with that.

Err, currently discussing conspiracy theories with an American…

Thanks for reading, ta-ta.

(Hehe, I typed thanks for Redding first time :P)

Turisas, Cottage Pie, and other things…

Posted in Benski, cookies, Craig, Emski, Family, Food, Friendlings, ICT, KEVII, Mother, Music, PC, Project, Rants, reminiscing, Social Center, thoughts, Turisas on 09/02/2011 by willsalt

Good Evening.

Benski purchased Turisas, The Varangian Way, directors cut + extended version. To I’ve kind of stolen it… that’s fun… Can my phone play WMAs? I don’t feel like converting anything…

Why does America use MM/DD/YYYY? It’s illogical.

That reminds me of a song, but I’m not posting it.

Emski made cottage pie, which had one flaw in my opinion. It kept burning me. Which is as close to a compliment as I usually give.

I was told to give it a big puff… Benski suggested Craig…

That was fun.

My memory stick got killed today! My nice one, all overpriced and Star Trek-ey. Plugged it into a computer in Social Centre, and it got killed.

Yay?

Don’t think I’ll mention that…

I’m not sure why, but I don’t seem overly capable of typing the large swathes of text you get sometimes, like Sunday… Now I think about it, probably because I haven’t got anything important to be doing… except reconstructing my ICT project work…

Ooh, that’s weird… I haven’t got my watch on, which I usually never take off, (and wear quite tight) I can see lots of veins and tendons now. J It’s about 78% the circumference of the other one… not healthy, then again, neither am I… living off cookies, cheese and meat…  so we match! Awesome.

I overuse that word.

Anyhow, I’m going to go listen to some Finnish people. Thanks for reading, Ta-ta.

Odd Chemistry lessons…

Good Evening.

My chemistry lesson today was a bit odd… i couldn’t stop thinking about music… rather random choice of it as well, in no particular order:

(apologies for all the videos…)

yeah, not much original content here… any I’m to lazy to label them…

What else? Grey pasta, lyrics all over my chemistry work, weird electricity, and that’s about it…

Thanks for reading, Ta-ta.

Music, Bhujhan (spelt badly,) and Queries.

Posted in Family, Father, Food, Homework, ICT, KEVII, Meakin, Music, Project, reminiscing, Simon & Garfunkel, tedium, thoughts, Turisas on 14/11/2010 by willsalt

Good Evening

I’m now installing Ulead Photoimpact 12.

Ben just had a bath, i suppose you don’t need to know that bit, but, yes, he commented on a change in music, when he got it it was ‘Flowers never Bend with the Rainfall’.

When he got out, it was ‘A Portage to the Unknown’, By Turisas.

Can’t say i disagree with him.

Went to some obscurely spelled restaraunt today, becaus it’s fathers birthday, Happy Birthday Father. Nice food, but i didn’t eat much…

Now, Queries, 80 to start with (well, 72, but i acquired more tables), 18 down, 62 left… err… yay, i suppose…

anyhow, off to do them.

Thanks for reading, Ta-ta.

Sunday’s, well, sunday. What else would it be?

Posted in Friendlings, Halo Reach, Homework, ICT, KEVII, Music, Project, Rants, reminiscing, thoughts, Tom, Turisas, XBOX 360 on 24/10/2010 by willsalt

Good evening. (In the evening! WOW!!!)

I’ve spent the last few hours trying to do ICT work, not overly well, I don’t know what paper modeling is… so it’s somewhat difficult… I’ve even been listening to Turisas, and I’m still not making much progress… But I’d have done it yesterday, if it wasn’t for Tom making me play Reach. So, we’re killing him next time we meet.

I have an awful lot of staples… That statement implies you should be in awe… you shouldn’t, don’t. any of you in awe, burn!

I’ve been doing some quizzes on Blogspot, they don’t work… at all, not in the slightest. allegedly, i’m charismatic, aromatic, artistic, i have a good sense of humor, an attractive, but rarely seen smile, a close group of friends who love me, I’m skiing, and am a Mud Pie… I don’t think any of that is true, and certainly not in my outward persona.

Seeing as i don’t rant here, that’s all… Thanks for reading, Kill Tom, Ta-ta.

Good evening.

I’ve discovered that listening to Viking Metal… from a finish band helps me concentrate on my work… interesting…
