Aah, I forgot I had to write a title for these things…

Posted in Cats, Friendlings, Ian, James, Matt, Pets, thoughts, Tom, Warmaster Horus, XBOX 360 on 06/02/2013 by willsalt

Good evening.

I had an uncharacteristically social day today. Granted, I stayed at home, but I actually spoke to someone who isn’t a relative, ginger, or an idiot. No offense Tom.

That being, I spoke to an Ian and a Fish, online of course. Been a while since I hugged either of them…

I think there must be something wrong with me if I consider that an accomplishment…

So far in this post there are 66 words, 7 of them are ‘I’, 10.6%. That makes me feel egotistical… then again, this is a personal blog about myself so that should be expected…

Heh, that’s kind of funny. I’m a narcissist who writes about himself, then complains that he’s the only thing he writes about and maintains a strong opposition to narcissism. I feel so conflicted… There’s the word ‘I’ again, now I’ve noticed that, it’s really annoying.

Change the subject. Horus may be dead, that’s a happy note to switch to. The cat not the war master, he’s fictional. If you’ve seen my Facebook page, or that post of mine with all the pet pictures in you may know of him, the one with the dodgy eye.

I’m not entirely clear on the details, but father returned from work, and found an inanimate kitten on the floor at the end of the dining table, believed it to be already dead or not far off. I may get back to you on the specifics. He’s a nice cat, It’d be preferable if he lived. If not, well we’ve got 10 more.

Cheery tones here, should probably end on a brighter, happier note, and use full sentences…

Dead Space 3 in three days! That’s happy for some of us, although there’s that word “dead” again, so often considered to be negative I’m hesitant to use it as my happy note…

Crysis 3 in about 16 days away. But then, Crysis is a homonym of crisis, a ‘dangerous or worrying time’, not exactly known for happiness.

Maybe something not gaming related…

I’ll paraphrase something I said to my aquatic friendling instead.

Cars are like people, you can’t truly share them unless you cut them in half (see Solomon) and when they get old there tends to be something wrong with them all the time.

On that note, thanks for reading, ta-ta.

Tuesday 9th, and Thursday 18th. Some stuff from a while ago, DnD, and other things…

Good evening.

Happy Tuesday! Mines not… I’m playing [PROTOTYPE], and I’ve got to the fight with Elizabeth Greene. And my Cheese omelette had ham in.

But I completed [PROTOTYPE] on normal +. Yeah!

And I’ve finally set up facebook event. Including invitations to people who don’t use their facebook… and ben didn’t suggest anyone to invite… uncooperative swine.

In other not news, apparently I’d have had the opportunity to go see harry potter today. Mother says Wendy phoned at about 10:30 today, to ask us if we wanted to go… but I was asleep, and ben’s ignorant, so no one answered the phone.

Are they still good? I only saw up to the 5th… I think… which ones does Emski have? Hehe. Never got round to reading the 7th book.

I’ve been editing photos. I’d post them here, but I imagine Emski would beat me… and that’s never fun.

I’ll do it soon.

Anyway, not enough for me to want to post this, so I’ll continue tomorrow.

Right… I’m latching this onto the end of my last post.

Which I started on Tuesday. You probably just read that… anyway, it’s now Thursday 00:12. The following week. Hehe, Emo Toby. Where was I? nowhere I think. What have I done? Hehe, toby’s showing his floor and desk he painted… painting floors? Err…

I shouldn’t watch things when writing these…

So, I’ve annoyed Tom again, by commenting on his behaviour. He doesn’t like that. Wonder why… and of course, Friday I went to visit an Ian, Saturday I came back. Played Dungeons & Dragons. Wish I could use the proper font for that… doubt wordpress has it… or internet browsers…

Anyway… yeah, fun couple of hours, shame Ian’s an idiot. Hehe, he didn’t balance the encounters properly. 5 characters, one with d4 HD, and 4 with d8 HD and low end armour, against zombies, first encounter with them being 4. All having d12 HD, and at least one of them being on 2HD. He did weird things with their health later… we ended up fighting about 8 of them, most only having 1-4 hp… which was weird. They still managed to cripple Tom, we left him lying there on negative hp bleeding to death, while the rest of us ran away.

Although my favourite part was afterwards, when he asked us what we thought of it. (He was just experimenting with the start of it a campaign.)

I pointed out that in our first encounter, I was a ranger, with 9 hp, I was dropped to about 3 or something… by the second encounter, the first with Zombies, I was on -5. I’d been stabilised, so a move action a turn, I just couldn’t fight. Or run… Tom was dropped in basically one blow. Put him on negative hp. And the rest of us slowly escaped while being clobbered by Zombies. He got out later. Apparently the zombies all disappeared once we went out the door…

So we went back to camp. (We’d been conscripted by the military for some none-descript reason.) While we were there, Simi was executed for running my through with a long sword. Was it a long sword? I suppose that’s not the important part. Then I hit the commanding officer with a Scythe, and ‘some guards [came] into the room, and killed [me]’. I was in combat, strictly speaking you’re supposed to role for those, but hey, I’d have lost anyway. So I was replaced with a Half orc Barbarian of my making, and Simi was replaced with a nearly identical character… he made basically the same character twice, one was a ranger, the other was a druid. He played the former first, and the latter last. Which I suppose makes sense… only because I listed them in that order though… but that was nice, gave us a secondary healer. We went back, my barbarian did quite well, but barely killed anything… the corridors were 5 ft. wide, so only one square… only one of us could be in combat at a time. So they put the half orc at the front. So that worked. Except, we fought what was in effect a flesh Gollum, I nearly killed it, practically singlehandedly, well, aside from Simi dropping some water on it, and Tom shot it… Nathan might have used a magic missile. Yeah, not singlehanded, but he did most of the damage because no one else could reach. Then of course, because he was the only one the construct could reach, he got incapacitated just before killing it. Levelled up though.

These two encounters may have been the other way round…

Other one, whenever it was, we went into a room with something like 8 zombies and Skelies, simi went first and got surrounded. So half orc pick up elf, and put it down out of combat. Did of course put him fighting the undead. At that point Emma rebuked some of them. So a few I didn’t have to fight, and of course, once I feed up some space, other people could come in. still managed to nearly die, so we managed to kill them, because Ian can’t role over 14 on a d20… well, he can, he did, evident by my not-death.

After that we went into one of Ians fantasies. There was a levitating naked old man, with lots of Reanimated corpses watching. He’s gonna hit me if he sees that.

Hehe, Toby’s weird… just said ‘I love peein’ on my computer, nothing wrong with it’. I say just, it was December 24th 3008.

Erm, so, yeah, me and ben stayed outside, then the people who went in rand away, so I went ahead of them (Barbarian in light armour, half orc, so 30ft. base land speed, +10ft for the barbarian fast movement, 40ft. 80ft. a turn, as I couldn’t run down the corridors. Simi, and Nathan 30ft. so 60 ft a turn, Emma had medium armour, so was slowed down to 20ft, and could only do 40ft. a turn.

Bleh, I’m starting to feel tired… well, atleast I’m not going to be one of those people who couldn’t sleep the night before getting exam results… though I may oversleep, I’m supposed to be there at 09:00… it’s 00:48…

Where was i? aah yes, so we were in a crypt. The door closed when we started trying to escape, so when the rest of them caught up I was trying to break it open. (then the naked guys hand appeared with a dagger, stabbed my twice, put me on 0hp, so I can’t perform strenuous actions…)

The others managed to finish off the door, and we ran away, at which point Ian decided we’d given up.

Afterward he made a few odd comments. He said we’d have been fine if we’d had a cleric who could heal. Okay, at level one, with the right domains, and a realistic wisdom modifier, that’s a maximum of 3 cure light wounds, and 4 cure minor wounds. Cure light wounds heads 1d8+1/caster level. With healing domain, and good domain that may have been 1d8+3, if cure spells are good… think they are. So a maximum of 33hp. The 5 cure minor wounds take that to 37.

That wouldn’t have helped really. And we’re assuming the cleric didn’t use any of his spells for anything else. As it was our cleric was evil… could have healed/repaired the undead we were fighting… (cure spells use positive energy, heals organics, destroys undead. Inflict do the opposite) I tried to trick her into doing that.

They didn’t co-operate. Well, they did, until they realised what I was doing… then Ian wouldn’t let me… (Emma still didn’t understand.)

So yeah, aside from bad choice of enimies that was fun. But ofcourse, we finished at about 04:00 in the morning, so I ended up walking home at just after 6. Normally fine, except I had a bag with something like err… what’s a stone? 14lb… well, I think it’s about 10lb of cookies and DnD books.

I’m 8.8st. which is approx. 123lb. that might be off then.. thought I was 126… maybe my maths is wrong…

Anyway, it’s 01:04. So I think I’m going to, err… yeah, I’m not going to go to sleep. At 02:00 Law & Order starts, so even if I watched the first of the two episodes yesterday, I’ll watch it again. Yeah, what else will I do until the second one starts.

So, I’m going to post this, and tomorrow, well, later today, I’ll put together a summary of my birthday do thing, perhaps with an explanation of why I hate the term ‘party’, along with things like what food will be provided, times, and maps. Not my address or anything, don’t trust the internet.

So yeah, anyway, thanks for reading. Those of you who it applies to, well, most of them, hope you get good results tomorrow, although there’s no point praying now, the results were done weeks ago.

SKYRIM COLLECTORS EDITION! (was announced 2 days ago), Bloody salad based over reactions confusing things, concerning people, maths and other stuff…

Posted in Books, Family, Father, Films, Friendlings, Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, Games, Ian, Mother, Music, PC, Rants, reminiscing, tedium, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, thoughts, Tobuscus/Toby Turner, Toby Turner, XBOX 360 on 07/08/2011 by willsalt

Good Evening.

I’m looking at the Skyrim Collector’s Edition. I wants it!

Apparently in a bad Gollum impersonation… that doesn’t make sense… neither does a remake of Conan the Barbarian. Is it a remake? I don’t care.

So yeah, The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim collector’s edition.

At present costs £129.99, and appears to be a game exclusive. I’m not sure whether to get it for Xbox 360, or PC. I was thinking Xbox, ‘cause the rest of my special editions, collectors editions, limited editions etc. are on Xbox. Also, I keep them in a safer place, out of direct sunlight.

So, yeah, that picture’s not going to fit. I’ll see if I can resize it properly this time.

Anyway, this means I need money. Hehe, student loans will cover it, assuming I get into university. Not what I’m meant to use them for… or what I want to actually… save that for transport and stuff. I’ll check for jobs again, tomorrow. And I still need to make that facebook event! Grr, I’m forgetting to do things, and I’m not even busy… I’m a crap human.

Hehe, is I wrong that my strongest incentive to get a job is that I want to buy a game?

Okay, if there’s an unknown positive, and an unknown negative with a 10% increase to the positive, totalling to -2405. A further 2% increase changes this to -2276,  what are the positive and negative values?

Hmm, my activity on Sodahead, News & Politics 19%, Entertainment 10%, Living 35%, fun 35%. That’s only 99%… where’s the other 1% gone?

Spent most of the afternoon on Galactic Civilizations II Dread Lords, Twilight of Arnor. that’s fun, did I say that already?

Watching Watchmen at the moment, that’s a very good film. Never read the comics though… I understand quite a few were disappointed by it… but then people are disappointed by anything… “oh this cup of teas is only lukewarm!” “I won the lottery but it wasn’t a rollover!” “There’s blood in this salad!” “I cut my hand off with a ‘blender’!”

They’re just never happy! Honestly I prefer people like me who don’t get sad.

That’s egotistical.

And now I’m watching Toby’s videos on BlogTV again. About to try maths.

2% of the positive is 129… so now 112 x 129 = 14448… to get it to -2276… = 16724.

So, the 2% being 129 was rounded… but that’s probably close… can’t remember what that was for now though… hmm…

I feel like I’ve wasted my time.

Hmm, Toby’s playing with Guns again… and eating Pizza. I suppose the latter is fine.

He eats strange pizza though, no cheese. It’s wrong…

Hehe, that works… pizza without cheese is wrong in my opinion, and in his cheese is wrong. (Well, “cheese comes from cows; sick!”)

So, now it’s 0124. I’m going to go to bed soon, well, around 0200. To watch Law & Order Criminal Intent.

Toby thinkgs they should change the plot of tLotR from the books for the films, for comic effect… that’s wrong…

Parents have gone somewhere… don’t know where… so I’ll leave them to it…

Had to cook for myself, yes, I’m capable of that. It kind of conflicts with my laziness though, so I just had pasta and cheese.

You ever tried cooking with 9 cats trying to steal everything? Don’t know where Hide and Daisy where…

Actually, now I think about it, Daisy died a while ago… so that explains why she wasn’t there… and Hide looked quite pregnant last time I saw here, so is probably in a hedge somewhere having kittens. Alternatively sleeping, she does that a lot too.

Turtle.

I’ve posted some weird things on facebook recently, a lot of Toby quotes, which lead to Ian inquiring about my wellbeing. Which one was that? I think it was “…Penguins. Don’t kill them, love them.” Which I think is a perfectly sane piece of advice. Perhaps a bit random…

Anyhow, I’m writing this to occupy the advertising slots between videos, I think I’ll post this before I run out of anything to say.

Thanks for reading, ta-ta.

The Lord of the Ringses… watching again… and other things.

Posted in advertising, Books, Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, EMA, Friendlings, Games, Ian, J.R.R. Tolkien - The Fellowship of the Ring, KEVII, Microsoft Office 2010, Music, Other Software, PC, Rants, reminiscing, tedium, The Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth II, The Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth II, The Rise of the Witch King, thoughts on 07/05/2011 by willsalt

Good evening.

Its 13:31, which is not only a lovely time, but also when I started watching The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, for the first, and presumably last, time on 07/05/2011.

Awesome battle scene, not as good as the later ones, but this one has a cuddly lickle Sauron.

Okay, I can’t type that well today, but I have cleared my desk… well, the part in front of my keyboard, aside from the mug, two glasses, knife, phone and sachets of sugar. So not exactly cleared it…

This scene always makes me wonder what happened Gollum between here and his later appearances, not in Moria, after that, when he’s no longer so dark skinned.

Concerning hobbits. Certainly shorter than in the book, but that had a significant impact on the amount of information it gives you…

Gandalf’s late. Should I continue these one sentence comments on the film?

The film also portrays the shire as being smaller, and later on they get out of it a lot faster. I’m only 148 pages into the book, (out of 531) so I won’t be able to continue that comparison for long.

They’ve managed to cram several dozen pages into 20 minutes… removes a lot of the detail…. I suppose it’s necessary though… I wonder how long the films would have been if they’d included everything?

They are certainly good sets… I quite like hobbit houses, well, the rich hobbits ones… good insulation, although they don’t seem to have electricity… or internet connections…

I want that right… maybe without the whole corrupting you, and turning you evil thing, but it’s fun… especially if you could get the writing to glow without putting it in fire…

This next few minutes should be twenty odd years… well, 17… no real indication of whether or not it did… no evidence it did at all, so I assume it doesn’t… that was a somewhat confusing line wasn’t it…

Mmm…. Stilton… okay, I got approximately (err… 1.5 x 5 x 6…) 45 cubic centimetres of stilton, and err… ate it. I don’t understand why so many people don’t like it… although… this film is making me want to play The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle Earth II, Rise of the Witch King… but that would require my disc drive… so I can’t do that…

Nazgûl! Yay! So cute! Well, no, not really, very not cute… sort of hideous really… their Horses are nice.

So, you may remember a while ago, I tried to do this. My own written commentary of these films, but WordPress didn’t save them; let’s see if it’ll work properly this time.

That part annoys me… the ‘if I take one more step, this will be the furthers from the shire I’ve ever been’… well done you idiot. So’s you next step, and the one after that… and so one for quite some time…

That’s an odd magical shape changing cliff… got shorter, lost the rocks, and gained the trees and ferns… not that I particularly want the actors to fall to their deaths using the first cliff, I just don’t like inconsistences…

Okay, I think I’ll post this now… set it to publish before midnight to make sure I post it on time…

Okays, has done that… now I know how to. Thank you Simi.

Númenor! Well, sort of… Hello Aragorn!

Deceptive scene there, I would quite like to have seen a version where the Nazgûl did get the ring. But we’re far passed where I’ve read…

You know, I’m confused because they didn’t have that horse earlier… and the original ‘you know,’ I’m going to have to pause this for eating, and Doctor Who…

Weather top, Amon Sûl. Did I ever play on that map? I can’t remember…

I really need another disk drive… there’s a lot for one…

I went on Impulse, to see if they had, long title incoming, The Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth II, and it’s expansion, they don’t, but they do have Section 8: Prejudice, which I want, also want its predecessor, they don’t have that.

And I missed all the ‘y’s in that paragraph… technically it’s a paragraph… don’t really think it’s long enough to be one personally… but grammar isn’t opinion…

Look! An Elf! Hello Arwen! I want to stab her… is that mean? Perhaps… and I’m going to steal a coaster… my last one got soaked in neurotoxins.

Not a joke, it did. Seriously. Although it was just fly spray, not anything interesting. Not in significant enough quantities to do much to me…

There’s an elf being chased by some Wraiths… shape they don’t stab her… she’s about to be really mean to their Horses. The Nazgûl themselves are rather prone to not dying, but their horses don’t seem to share that quality.

Eagle! So cute! But doesn’t Gandald mysteriously reacquire his staff later? It’s qeird. That was a ‘q’, not a ‘w’… that’s wrong…

Nice sword, Narsil. Don’t drop it… that’s most impolite. Bad Boromir. I’m GLaD you die for that. Well, not for that… but you doing that makes me happy knowing you do die…

I have to say, this version is by far better than the non-extended one. There are a lot less holes, (still quite a few though…) it’s a longer film, has better menus.

What’s that scene called? The council of Elrond? Something like that… fun scene.

Disc one finished at 15:11…

Disc 2 starting 15:12.

Page 3, in Microsoft word. Well, if I continue with 2 pages per disc, then that’ll be fun.

Bilbos sword, I prefer the Elven blades in Oblivion personally… I think they were loosely based on the ones from tLotR…

And now Saruman’s shouting at the snow… you know, I barely commented on the introduction to the first disk this time round.  Last time I did this I had about a third of a page on it… but they’re going to Moria, so there’s going to be a cute little Balrog!

I’d like some mithril… it looks nice…

KE VII is being negligent again. They haven’t been giving people EMA, seemingly out of laziness. They’ve sent out notices to people, who missed lessons telling them they’re not getting any until they’ve provided reason for their absence, but they haven’t paid anyone else either.

Swine. We should mug them or something. Is it a crime if they owe you the money? Yup. Shame…

In what scenes does Legolas fire CG arrows?

And now they’re being mean to Cave Trolls. And that’s a lot of goblins…

Here comes the cuddly little Balrog. Don’t you just love them? So cute, and numerous, or not… is it seven? Or thousands? And again Boromir nearly dies; he certainly takes his time succeeding at that…

None of my methods of commentating really work for this… usually it’s a series of sarcastic comments regarding what’s happening at that instant, but you can’t see what I see, so that doesn’t work…

Regardless, these films are just awesome. Although I don’t like watching them, for two reasons, they’re very long, and after them any other film just seems a bit crap.

He shall not pass.

What’s the plural for Balrog? Is it just Balrog? Or is it Barogs? That doesn’t sound right…

Haldir, hello. How are you today? Galadrial will appear soon won’t she? Lord Celeborn, and Gladriel, Lady of Light. Fun names the elves have. Hello. You want to talk to Gandalf.

I’m getting hungry again… I’m going to go forage… should I pause this? Might as well… pausing at 16:01.

Unpaused 16:04. Apparently food cooked for meski, well, I say cooked. It’s cold meat, but anyway, meal on a Saturday featuring a Doctor Who, when the two don’t happen at the same time! Oh, what terrible poetry. I say for meski, I mean all who are eating here today. Don’t know who that is… I’m assuming Benski, Mother, Father and I. not so sure about Emski, when does she finish work today? Don’t know why I phrased that as a question, this won’t be posted until about midnight… so I’ll know by then…

01:31:ish, and the credits have started, time is 16:46.

1:57:27 credits ended. 17:12.

Changing disc…

The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers starting at… when it actually reads it… loading… I want more cheese… 17:15

Pausing at 17:21, (o0:06:00) to eat.

Started playing again at 17:37

Doctor who starts at 18:15…

Hello Gollum.

Okay, I barely wrote anything there, but at 18:15, 00:43:46 I’m pausing it for Doctor Who.

19:02, back the Lord of the Rings, to the Two Towers.

I hacen’t been writing much recently have i…

First disc finished at 20:02. And second started at 20:05

Credits started at 21:49, approx. 01:44 into the disc…

02:03 into disc… 2209.

Starting disc one of The Lord of the Rings Return of the King at 22:12

Deceiving .

That’s there for a reason…

Aww, murderous Hobbits fishing.

So, I’ve been watching these without typing much recently, partially due to the presence of a Benski, I don’t really like writing anything while people are watching… or people reading anything I write until it’s complete… that annoys my teachers… especially Miss Williams.

He annoys me, I mean, I’ve got this taking up about a sixth of the screen, ant Cyberlink PowerDVD on the rest, (better playback quality then windows media player) so I can watch the film, and write this. I’ve even been compressing internet browsing into this sixth for updating posting version. He, however, is sitting in a chair, allegedly watching the film, but actually just reading things. Currently about Drow.

Had some fun discussions about Dungeons and Dragons, Satan’s game. No, just 3.5. no riders from Snowbourne?

So, we’re 1:30:56 into the first disk of The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King, and its 23:45. I get an inkling it will be tomorrow by the time I finish this…

This is odd for me; I’m about 5 feet from the monitor, so I had to bring the keyboard with me to keep typing. My desk’s only one arm’s length, minus the last segment of my middle finger, away, but I can’t really type at that…

Page 5. Is that a good thing? Might switch to a different view mode… one other than print layout, I don’t like all this A4 sheet-ness, I don’t print these, or save them offline for that matter.

Allrighty, I’m going to add this to my to-post at 23:55 I think it is… making sure I get today, so I’ll update it with the rest later.

Thanks for reading my beloved fiends. Ta-ta, for now.

Love Willski.

Okay, I’m back. And it’s 23:54 in my world. And yours, but it probably isn’t when you read this, unless you’re Benski, in which case you can see me typing this. 23:55! HUZZA!!! Don’t know why.

I want to eat, or drink, I’m not sure which… either way it’s 23:57, and I think it still hasn’t autoposted…

There it goes! Huzza!

Elves going underground where Dwarves won’t… yay? Is that the correct plural for Tolkien’s Elves? I know he had a strong impact of the terminology of such things. It’s an elven sword rather than an Elfin sword now. What other words have gone from fiction into common use? Halitosis…

Hehe, the Drawf is scared of the dead. Perhaps because they’re still around…

Ha! I wrote Dwarf as Drawf. I’m a pillock.

I really want to add an accent to the ‘r’ in ‘scared’. And Aragorn is trying to be dramatic.

Anyway, where was i? aah yes. Tolkien’s effect on things. That’s led to some rather annoying opinions of peoples, for example, Ian is under the delusion that prior to Tolkien all elves were the Germanic style, the 2 foot, tricksters. Seeming to (and actually, when in conversation,) dismissing things such as the Æsir that portrayed similar qualities to the elves in Tolkien’s works. He holds the same opinions on other things, apparently all halflings are based on Hobbits, I’l again concede some of the naming is the same, but his example of DnD halflings is completely wrong. The DnD ones are thin, adventurous, nimble, intelligent, and nomadic. Tolkien’s are fat, gardening drunkards, who despise those who leave the shire for being unhobbitly. Then of course, you have other things, DnD Halflings are genetically programmed thieves, they’re shunned bby most other races, and are eaten by Gnolls. So I’ve gone into another Anti-Ian rant… that’s quite annoying, that I target him. Mostly because he’s the only one I’ve discussed they subject with in person…

00:16 and disk one is finished. 00:18 starting disk 2.

I really want to play a good Dungeons and Dragons campaign, I’m attempting to write one. As you may know, I don’t think I’ve done much on that for a few months though… the whole trying to concentrate on work and not failing at life that had me spending most nights on various games. I’m not good at that. (gaming, or life.)

Gollum’s not good at poetry…

Page 6!

I need to buy more books… not going to name them here, because I can’t remember how to spell them… and I’m too lazy to check… hehe…

I’m going to get a drink, back in a minute. Back. No idea how long I was gone… meh…

Have you ever tried singing The Confrontation (or sometimes just Confrontation) from Les Miserable on your own? Damned difficult. Hard to sing two different verses, simultaneously.

And Eomer(?) is trying to burn his son alive. That’s an odd thing to do in the middle of a battle…  he needs to get his priorities sorted.

Attack Trolls! Awesomes! Good gate breaching force. The animators/renderers/whatever weren’t overly generous with them. They’ve got surprisingly simple textures compared to most of the other stiff in the film.

But at least Frodo’s been stabbed by a giant spider, so I guess all isn’t lost. But why does she make me think of Tyranids?

Skyrim will have giant spiders. There have been quite a few threads on Bethesdas forums by arachnophobias asking for them to be removed. I wanted to say arachnaphobes, but that’s not a word.

Talking to Simi about Star Trek online for about 2 ½ minutes, I want to play that, and Eve online. They’re the only pay-for MMORPG type things that really interest me…

The Witch king of Angmar fighting Gamdalf. Also Pippin and Shadowfax… although the not-quite-horse isn’t doing much…

So, how are you? You’re not going to respond? Because you’re a bunch of advertising bots, and people looking for information about Toby Turner? Okay. I’m sad now. Well, and quite a few people searching Gute Muttertag, or Salad Plate.

Anyway, enough about me, and my blog. I would ask about you, but, err… this is now nearly two and a half thousand words long, so I doubt anyone is still reading, or started for that matter…

Mumakil! So cute, why are the Rohirrim so mean to them? And my apologies for most likely spelling that incorrectly. For some reason, it’s not in the dictionary.

You’d think the Men would figure out how battles work in that. Your fortresses are attacked, defences overrun, and then you retreat to the keep. After that, the Rohirrim charge takes out most of the attackers. In this instance some green floaty people prance around after that… but that doesn’t usually happen.

Simi’s a pillock… says the Nazgûls’ flying steeds are surprisingly easy to kill, just because decapitation is fatal for them.

The Dead seem to have an advantage over the living in battle, they can’t be killed. Seems almost unfair.

Page 7

And maybe the witch king shouldn’t have said ‘no man can defeat me in battle’. Perhaps just ‘no one’, although then you’d probably get a schizophrenic doing it. Gollum maybe… and someone phone the RSPCA, Legolas is shooting animals.

Simi’s being eaten by Zombies… weird…

44 minutes into this disc, and the battle of Minas Tirith is won. 01:04. But there’s still a lot of this film left…there’s another hour and twenty five minutes… I want to sleep! Not sure why I’m tired… but I feel compelled to finish this film…

The ring has been destroyed, and there’s still nearly an hour left. It’s 01:46 now.

There’s a laughing hobbit in bed being bounced on by a pair of hobbits, while a cackling old man watches… that seems somehow wrong… and poorly worded.

This is going to drag on isn’t it… hmm…

I feel like singing…

Can’t be bothered…

Rawr!

01:49:10, (02:07 real time) and the credits have started!

Gaah… still got 25 minutes of credits left…

They’re about to end! 02:10:01 and it’s done!

02:28 in the real world.

So that is all.

Thanks for reading, have a great Sunday, and ta-ta.

Skyline, NWN2, and something else, but i’ve forgotten it now i’ve got round to writing the title.

Gutan Abend.

So, I just watched Skyline. Quick overview… (don’t worry, not the plot)

  • Acting: acceptable
  • SFX: very good
  • Plot: weaker than my left arm.
  • Casting: good, they didn’t spam really famous people. That much…
  • I’ve forgotten what else a film’s supposed to have…

That was fun. As I started watching Skyline, Benski started running himself a bath. About 90 minutes later when it ended, he was still hovering behind me watching it… I think he likes the pretty colours.

Hehe

What else have I done? I purchased Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum Edition on steam, because it was 50% off. So I can still afford the lord of the ringses. I’ll probably buy them once I’ve done writing this… then read IT in the next few days…

Partially related to the first part, I started trying to analyse people’s behaviour again. Films aren’t the best place to do that… especially somewhat poorly written ones…

What did I do today? I wasn’t mean to Ian, that was boring, err… chemistry made me late for ICT, butcher wasn’t overly thrilled with that. So, err… yay?

Gaah, forgot the other stuff I had to say… don’t worry, it probably wouldn’t have been nteresting…

Either way, thanks for reading. Ta-ta.

SNAILS ARE PEOPLE TOO!

Posted in Benski, Biology, Emma, Family, Friendlings, Games, Ian, ICT, KEVII, Neverwinter Nights, PC, Project, reminiscing, thoughts on 21/03/2011 by willsalt

Good Evening.

So, I had a biology test today, I got confused by chi-squared things due to not thinking logically… that was fun. More importantly, I may have appeared to be somewhat racist with lines such as ‘In the Grasslands the Black People get eaten’. Not as racist as it seems, quite the opposite in fact, that all happened due to some question about Snails, with green or brown pigmentation to their shells, with the greens being more common in the grasslands due to camouflage, the browns stand out and get eaten, in the forest the greens stand out on bark and get eaten. I, for reasons unknown to me, started referring to the slimy little fiends as people. So, yeah, some racist sounding stuff in there now…

Other lines are close to:

In the forest the brown [snails/people] do not stand out, and are less likely to be eaten then their green friends. The ones who don’t get eaten are more likely to read adulthood, and reproduce.

Just more likely? So the ones who are eaten might continue growing? I suppose the adults could get eaten too… more likely to… anyway, what should we do about this Jesus mania?

Fools, you have no perception.

Okay Will, STOP QUOTING JESUS CHRIST SUPER STAR!!!

Yay, caps! Hehe, what else happened? I broke a nail… lost ¾ of an inch (of nail) from my right ring finger…that was fun, don’t know when it happened, I noticed it when playing catch with Ianski, Emmaski, Benski and Alice.

Do you type ‘OK’ or ‘okay’? I usually go for ‘okay’. It’s more fun that way.

Anyway, what should I do? Biology homework? ICT project? Neverwinter Nights?

Err… NWN I think…

Thanks for reading, Ta-ta.

Driving lessons, Killzone apparently, Sup Com, and other things…

Posted in advertising, Benski, Craig, Driving, Driving Lessons, Family, Friendlings, Games, Halo Wars, Horizon, Ian, PC, Rants, reminiscing, Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, tedium, thoughts, XBOX 360 on 24/02/2011 by willsalt

Good evening one and, well, probably just the one of you…

Readership is down, probably due to my semi-random posting times, but who cares? It was never that high anyway, or my primary concern.

I just had a driving lesson, which was fun, talking about cars that drive themselves, e.g. KITT, old people, last words, and eradicating the mentally inferior. Fun!

It’s all horrible and sunny today… I just found a sugar puff in my keyboard… anyway, sunniness, I feel like going for a walk somewhere, but it’s too sunny! I’ll get a ‘sun tan’ (negligibly so), or turn to ash or something… but really want to walk… anyone care to join me? Tell me if you do.

I went on Supreme Commander this morning. And didn’t cheat, because I don’t, what’s the point? Okay, I do, and did. But only teleporting units that got stuck in buildings… anyway, I won, which isn’t exactly surprising, I usually do. Well, always if I’m actually playing… (I don’t play against people) but today there was an unusual difference in score between me and the AI…

That legible? Meh, who cares. Click on it if it isn’t.

Amazing game though. It’s an RTS where the computer can’t spawn any unit it wants, increased difficulty doesn’t just tweak unit stats, it alters the AI, (easy will spam low tech units, and wont manage economy particularly well, or construct defences, up to Adaptive which constantly modifies its tactics depending on what it finds effective.) it’s a nice change from Halo wars, with its’ incompetent AIs! They don’t even do obvious things, like pull units back when there base is under attack. That would make sense on Sup Com, with its 80km maps… Frostmill Ruins, awesome. So, I highly recommend you play it. Craig. I’ll buy you a copy, how much does it cost? We’ll see… need money though… EMA yet? Probably not until next Wednesday…

Aah yes, Ian and Craig, being gullible incompetent foolish swine, yeah, string derogatory terms together… are doing some charity thing. My opposition to charity prevents me from sponsoring them, so instead, I shall laugh at them from a distance. That’ll be fun…

Slightly random, sorry about that, my minds works weirdly, those things are linked, I assure you.

Grr, keep seeing things wittering on about Killzone 3. I think they’re adverts… I really want to play that, and killzones 1 and 2, but I lack the games, or functional relevant consoles… annoying… I’ll get them eventually, probably in about 5 years :D.

I’m going to go assault iPlayer, thanks for reading. Ta-ta.
